Meet The Ninjas

Matthew Carriere, Co-founder and ASP.NET Ninja | blog | email

Matthew Carriere develops web applications. He follows ASP.NET and Ruby on Rails religiously and then evangelizes (rants about) the patterns and practices of each to the rest of the team. He started his career working on the Microsoft Campus in Redmond, WA. It was here he cut his teeth with .NET development. With several large SharePoint and ASP.NET web applications in his wake, his passion for using great technology to solve business problems recently led him to Ruby on Rails. He believes that learning Rails made him a stronger ASP.NET MVC solution developer. Matthew feels that writing code is a craft and that well written applications come from developers who are passionate about what they do. He blogs about his web development experiences at matthewcarriere.com. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Computer Information Systems.

Shereen Qumsieh, Co-founder and SharePoint Ninja | blog | email

Shereen is extremely passionate about web standards and intelligent design. Poorly designed web sites keep her up at night – and that keeps all of us up at night. She is an advocate of taking the time to understand your users, and building a site that is both functional and good looking. She focuses on delivering high quality SharePoint solutions for enterprise customers. As a Microsoft Certified Professional, Shereen has extensive experience architecting, installing and developing custom solutions for SharePoint Server 2007. She is also a prominent member of the local SharePoint community; delivering SharePoint Designer and SharePoint development training in Vancouver and Victoria as well as blogging at blog.qumsieh.ca. Shereen currently holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).

Donabel Santos, SQL Server Ninja | blog | email

Donabel loves to work with SQL Server and SharePoint, and she loves to learn and teach. She thinks SQL is fun, no really, she does. She designs, administers, troubleshoots and maintains databases for clients. The fun doesn’t stop there – she also creates (tons of) T-SQL scripts, queries, and reports using SQL Server Reporting Services. With her SharePoint Developer hat on, she focuses on configuring, branding and building custom solutions for Sharepoint 2007, primarily using ASP.NET, C# and XHTML/CSS/Javascript. Donabel holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree from British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), where she currently teaches web development and database (SQL Server, MySQL) courses.
